Brief History of Taj Mahal
It was entombment of Mughal queen Mumtaj Mahal. She was a wife of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. He built this beautiful monument of white marble in the year 1631. About a thousand elephants and twenty thousand laborers completed this vibrant and amazing monument. This structure denotes the symbol of love and was primarily built by using White Marble. The marble was brought from every part of India and Central Asia. The construction took about 32 million rupees. The construction got over in the year 1653. It is counted as one of the Seven Wonders of the World and has been in the list of UNESCO world heritage site. The complete architectural design is of Mughal style. It is spread over almost 17 hectares includes a mosque, visitor house, outer patio and main entry at the south. This architecture was designed by Ustad- Ahmad Lahori.
