Indraprastha by Pandavas
As per the epic Mahabharata, king Dhritarashtra had decided to give a desolate island to Pandavas. Lalkot by Prithviraj Chauhan
In order to protect the city against the attacks of Muhamad of Ghor, one of the Muslim invaders, Prithviraj Chauhan had decided to extend Lalkot which was originally built by the ruler of Tomara, Anangpal during 1052 AD. After this, the city came to be called as Qile Rai Pithora and of its area at the present named as Mehrauli.

Jahanpanah
