History
In 1938, the temple Lakshmi Narayan Mandir was built by Raja Baldev Das Birla and his son Jugal Kishore Birla, therefore today it is called as Birla Mandir It is famously known as Birla Mandir. Gandhi Ji inaugurated the temple. According to his wish, people of all caste and creed can visit the temple grounds. The temple site was taken care by the Business tycoon, Birla family.
Description
The temple houses idols of Lakshmi Ji and Vishnu Ji also known as Narayan. Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped for the symbol of wealth and prosperity whereas lord Vishnu represents power and protection. The peak tower in the holy place reaches an altitude of 165 feet’s. Hall away known as Geeta Bhawan paints Indian Mythology in the Artwork on the walls. Inside premises, other deities can be found which shows the visitors about the diversity of Hindu culture. The architecture depicts the modern outlook of Indian diety.
The temple remains open on all days except Monday for tourist. Everybody is advised to take off their boots because of the holiness of the place before them about to get entrance
